MINSK, 22 April (BelTA) – Interaction between Belarus and Pakistan is clearly focused on results, Energy Minister of Belarus Denis Moroz said as he spoke at an event dedicated to the National Day of Pakistan on 21 April, BelTA has learned.
“Eighty-five years ago, in 1940, the participants of the Lahore Session of the Muslim League adopted the Lahore Resolution that marked the beginning of Pakistan's journey towards independence. The desire for freedom, justice and national unity, multiplied by the hard work and goodwill of the Pakistani people, are leading your country to prosperity and well-being,” the Belarusian energy minister said.

“Belarus values Pakistan's openness to the world in business and in human relations. Despite the global turbulence, the friendship between Belarus and Pakistan has become even stronger, and the interaction has become more meaningful and results-oriented. This was reaffirmed during the meetings of our leaders in Islamabad and Minsk. Another testimony to that is the active work of interdepartmental commissions, the signing of a cooperation roadmap for 2025-2027 and active interaction between businesses,” the minister noted.
He went on saying: “Belarus and Pakistan have enormous untapped potential - we have something to offer to each other, and we have something to learn from each other. This applies not only to economy, but also to culture, science, education, medicine, tourism, sports. We are happy to see humanitarian ties expanding. Our young people are increasingly interested in exploring each other's culture and language, universities are establishing direct contacts, artists and musicians are finding a common language that does not need translation. Belarus' membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization opens up new horizons for joint work. We will be glad to see a Pakistani delegation at the AgroSCO exhibition; Pakistan can put up a national exposition within the Belagro 2025 agricultural expo in Minsk. The last but not the least: I would like to thank the ambassador, as well as the staff of the Pakistani Embassy in Belarus for their consistent efforts and hard work to strengthen the bridge of our friendship,” Denis Moroz said.
