OMAN, 5 December (BelTA) – Oman sees the construction of a pulp and cardboard mill as its number one priority in cooperation with Belarus, President of the Oman Investment Authority Abdul Salam Al-Murshidi told journalists on 5 December, BelTA has learned.
“We greatly appreciate the Belarusian president’s thorough approach to project development and his deep personal involvement in all the initiatives we discuss. His engagement allows us to advance very quickly, ahead of schedule, in the implementation of all our planned projects,” Abdul Salam Al-Murshidi told journalists. “Our cooperation offers many opportunities, but we would like to focus primarily on the construction of a pulp and cardboard mill. This is our number one priority. We are already making very fast progress on this project.”
As BelTA reported earlier, a memorandum of cooperation on the construction of a pulp and cardboard mill in Belarus was signed between Belarus and Oman on 6 October. It was part of a package of documents that were signed by the parties in the presence of the two countries’ leaders, President Aleksandr Lukashenko and Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, following talks at the Independence Palace in Minsk.
