MINSK, 6 January (BelTA) - In 2021 Belarusians sold $53.4 million more than they purchased, BelTA learned from the statistics released by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB).
In 2021 individuals bought the equivalent of $10.853 billion in cash and cashless forms and sold $10.907 billion worth of foreign currency. The net sale of foreign currency by individuals totaled $53.4 million last year.
In 2021 Belarusian economic entities sold $678.9 million of foreign currency more than they bought. The net sale of foreign currency in December reached $83.5 million.
In 2021 non-residents of Belarus bought $26.580 billion worth of foreign currency and sold $27.259 billion.
