MINSK, 8 January (BelTA) – In 2025, individuals in Belarus sold $1.63 billion worth of foreign currency more than they purchased, BelTA learned from the statistics released by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB).
In 2025, individuals purchased the equivalent of $12.95 billion in cash and cashless forms and sold $14.58 billion worth of foreign currency.
In December 2025, individuals sold $115.2 million worth of foreign currency more than they purchased.
In 2025, Belarusian resident companies were net purchasers of foreign currency. Based on the data of the National Bank, the commercial entities bought $2.3 billion worth of currency more than they sold. In 2025 legal entities purchased the equivalent $39.76 billion worth of foreign currency and sold $37.45 billion.
In 2025, foreign currency purchases by legal entities exceeded sales by $317 million.
