MINSK, 2 February (BelTA) - The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) forecasts continued wage growth in Belarus in 2026, BelTA learned from the EDB’s macro review.
In Belarus, real wages increased by 6.1% in December 2025, maintaining the pace from November. The public sector continues to show higher growth rates: 10.5% in December following 10% in November. Overall for 2025, real wages grew by 9%, including an 11.3% increase in state-funded organizations.
“We expect the wage growth to continue against the backdrop of the adopted decision to raise the base rate for salaries by 8.8% from 1 January 2026, which will support domestic demand,” the EDB’s macro review said.
