MINSK, 2 June (BelTA) - Chinese producers have significantly increased sales of industrial equipment, electronic products, tools, spare parts, and machine components through the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE), the BUCE press service told BelTA.

In January-May 2025, transactions for these goods reached $2 million, marking an eleven-fold increase year-on-year. This rapid growth is facilitated by the expanding range of industrial products supplied by Chinese residents through the exchange platform. In January-May 2025, China exported approximately 40 categories of products to Belarus, compared to fewer than 10 categories during the same period in 2024.

"This year, Chinese suppliers accredited on the exchange have been far more responsive to Belarusian enterprises' requests for purchase of industrial goods," the press service noted. "As a result, not only the total transaction volume has significantly increased, but the range of traded products has expanded as well. Belarus is now acquiring technology components, measuring instruments, electronic parts for production lines, and spare parts for industrial tools from China through BUCE."

Among the most notable transactions highlighted by the commodity exchange's press service were the purchase of electric vehicle charging equipment and, just last week, the first-ever deal for an industrial robot. This marks a steady increase in the share of Chinese residents in industrial product supplies through the exchange to the Belarusian market: now it stands at 9%, compared to 2% in January-May 2024.

As of 2 June, BUCE accredited 280 Chinese resident companies, including four exchange brokers. Since the beginning of the year, 33 new companies from China have jointed the exchange.
