Beltamozhservice expands export container shipping network to China

MINSK, 19 February (BelTA) - Beltamozhservice is developing export container transportation and expanding the presence of Belarusian goods in the Chinese market, BelTA learned from the enterprise’s press service.

On the night of 18 February, another regular consolidated container train Vasilek [Cornflower] departed from the Kolyadichi station (the Minsk- Beltamozhservice 2 logistics center), heading to China via the territory of Russia and Mongolia. The train consists of 31 railcars and 62 forty-foot containers carrying Belarusian products. This time, lumber, peat, and flax fiber are being sent to Erenhot.

“The Vasilek pilot project was launched in September 2025, and since January of this year we have made these shipments regular. We are recording a growing demand for export transportation to China. A plan for next week has already been drawn up: the next train will carry a wide range of Belarusian goods to China, including pulp, spare parts, tractors, wood chips, starch, powdered milk, and whey,” the press service said.

The development dynamics of the Vasilek service reflect the overall growth trend in Belarusian container transportation. Thanks to efficient logistics and coordination with partners, the number of shipments from Belarus to China has increased tenfold in recent years.

The enterprise plans to increase volumes, ensuring a stable export channel for domestic producers.

Additionally, Beltamozhservice continues active work to develop foreign economic relations with India and is also strengthening its presence in the Turkish direction.

Beltamozhservice has been designated as the consolidator of applications for the transportation of export cargo by rail to seaports, sea ferries, port terminals, and railway stations as the consignor for delivery to countries in Africa, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.
