BelAZ's trucks exported to 47 countries in January-November 2019

MINSK, 17 December (BelTA) – The Belarusian automobile engineering company BelAZ shipped its products to 47 countries in January-November 2019, BelTA learned from the BelAZ press service.

BelAZ's major trading partners (in terms of export and import) included Russia (66.6%), the UK (11%), Ukraine (5.3%), Uzbekistan (4.2%), and the US (2.3%). “The company trades with various countries and constantly expands into new markets,” the press service noted.

Haul trucks with the carrying capacity of 110-130 tonnes held the leading position in the company's shipments (27%). The top three exported vehicles also included 220-240-tonne trucks (24%) and 45-tonne trucks (13%). Around 22% of BelAZ customers chose the BelAZ-75131 model, making it the most popular BelAZ model.

The average carrying capacity of shipped trucks was 124 tonnes in January-November 2019 (as against 119 tonnes in January-November 2018). In 2018 this figure stood at 120 tonnes in total.

The public joint-stock company (OAO) BelAZ is the managing company of BelAZ holding company. BelAZ is the world's leading manufacturer of haul trucks and transport vehicles for the mining industry and the civil engineering industry. BelAZ occupies about 30% of the world's market of haul trucks with an extremely large carrying capacity. The company makes the world's largest truck with the carrying capacity of 450 tonnes. This year, BelAZ has finished two large-scale innovative projects to upgrade its enterprises and has expanded the range of products.
