GOMEL, 19 December (BelTA) – The program on social and economic development for the next five years provides a clear picture of the future, precise contours of the work to be done in the next few years. Dmitry Korchik, Director General of OAO BMZ, the managing company of the holding company BMC, a delegate to the Belarusian People’s Congress, expressed the opinion as he was taking part in a session of the 7th Belarusian People’s Congress, BelTA has learned.
Dmitry Korchik said: “The speech by Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko and the discussion of the program on social and economic development for five years gave us a clear picture of the future, of our country, its manufacturing sector, enterprises and most importantly our people. It is very important for metallurgists, for worker collectives of the enterprises of the holding company BMC. We see precise contours of our work for the next few years.”
He admitted that the key impression from the work during the Belarusian People’s Congress is confidence and understanding of the vector of the country’s development. “In the current complicated international situation such certitude is extremely important,” the BMZ CEO stressed.
For the large industrial holding company stability and predictability of the policy create the foundation for long-term planning and realization of projects, the executive noted. “We can work with the future in mind, knowing that the state sees us as a reliable partner for enhancing the economic potential,” he added.
The second session of the 7th Belarusian People’s Congress took place in Minsk. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made an address to the nation and the parliament on the first day of the session, 18 December. Participants of the session adopted the program on Belarus’ social and economic development in 2026-2030 on the second day.
