MINSK, 23 October (BelTA) – Belarus’ Q3 2025 employment rate (ratio of employed population to total population aged 15-74) stood at 69.1%, while the unemployment rate (according to International Labor Organization methodology) was 2.6% of the labor force, BelTA learned from the Labor Force Survey of Belarus’ National Statistical Committee.
Among the working-age population, 85.7% were employed in Belarus’ economy. The employment rate among working-age women stood at 86.1%, while for men it was 85.2%. The majority of workers reside in urban areas.
Most Belarusians searched for jobs through the internet or mass media, while the second most common method was using contacts among friends, relatives, or acquaintances. The least used approach were direct applications to employers or contacting employment services.
The survey is conducted quarterly in accordance with the International Labor Organization’s methodology to obtain data on the size of the labor force, employed and unemployed persons, and individuals outside the labor force, categorized by gender, age, education level, and other demographic, social and economic characteristics.
