MINSK, 11 June (BelTA) - The Free Economic Zone (FEZ) Minsk and the Bashkortostan Cluster Association (Russian Federation) have signed a cooperation agreement. The signing ceremony took place at a business forum to discuss the twinning ties between Minsk and Ufa as a new driver of development. The forum is a key event in the program of Minsk Days held in Ufa, Bashkortostan’s capital, BelTA learned from the press service of the FEZ Minsk.

The agreement aims to promote cooperation in the creation of clusters and technology parks, industrial infrastructure, and business environment. It is also designed to enhance cooperation between enterprises of Belarus and Bashkortostan. "The FEZ Minsk has been cooperating with Bashkortostan for several years. It is an important and interesting region for us. We are pleased to see our list of partners in Ufa growing. It reflects the increasing mutual interest of Belarusian and Russian companies," First Deputy Head of the FEZ Minsk Administration Sergei Bubenko stated.

The establishment of Belarusian-Russian investment clusters was the central topic of discussions between the Belarusian delegation and representatives of the Economic Development Ministry of Bashkortostan and the Development Corporation of Bashkortostan.

The parties discussed initiatives and agreements to set up clusters in Belarus and Bashkortostan, implementing comprehensive investor support measures. Sergei Bubenko assured that the FEZ Minsk is ready to offer Bashkortostan a promising site to construct production facilities.

"Exemption from income tax, property tax, and land tax, along with exemption from land lease payments are envisaged for Bashkortostan projects based in Belarus," he emphasized.

Following the official forum program, the Belarusian delegation held negotiations with Ufa business representatives.
