Belarus' MTZ invited to open representative office in Russia's Primorsky Krai

MINSK, 22 September (BelTA) – Russia's Primorsky Krai Governor Oleg Kozhemyako invited the Belarusian tractor maker MTZ to set up its representative office in Primorsky Krai during a visit of the Russian delegation to MTZ on 22 September, BelTA learned from the MTZ press service.

During the talks MTZ's top managers presented their proposals on models, characteristics, and prices of their products. The Russian party will soon compile a list of vehicles it would like to purchase, Oleg Kozhemyako noted.

He also invited MTZ Director General Vitaly Vovk to open a representative office of the Belarusian plant in Primorsky Krai that would also cater for Kamchatka Krai and Sakhalin Oblast of Russia.

“Let's set up a small facility there that will sell the most popular models and will always have them in stock. We will offer most attractive terms. The Far Eastern Federal District has been growing rapidly in many areas, including in agriculture. We have vast areas of land and your vehicles will help us cultivate them,” Oleg Kozhemyako noted.

For his part, Vitaly Vovk promised to look into options to improve services in the Far East.

The Primorsky Krai delegation visited the exhibition of MTZ vehicles. Oleg Kozhemyako was particularly impressed with snow compactors and ice resurfacers.

For example, the exhibition features the snow compactor BELARUS MSU-622. According to Vitaly Vovk, this is not the only MTZ vehicle for winter sports. The lineup also includes the ice resurfacer BELARUS ML-428 and the first Belarusian ratrack BELARUS MSU-108. Oleg Kozhemyako gave an instruction to purchase several snow compactors and ice resurfacers.

Speaking about traditional MTZ vehicles, the enterprise pointed out the tractor BELARUS 742.7 that was unveiled at the international expo Agritechnica 2019 in Hanover. Oleg Kozhemyako was invited to test-drive it around the territory of the plant. “A great vehicle,” was his verdict.
