Today we have welcomed a delegation from Italy with whom we plan to discuss cooperation on the supply of critical imports to our country. For example, we are interested in raw materials for industrial processing in order to increase production volumes. Italian counterparts, in their turn, are interested in manufacturing restaurant dishes from Belarusian foodstuffs using Italian technologies that is why we plan to discuss investment in restaurant business,” said Aleksei Bogdanov.

He also stressed that Italy sees that the situation in Belarus is calm, peaceful people live in the country and the economy is developing.

“Business needs a good atmosphere for development, and our country has it. We have always worked closely with Italians, and our peoples are very similar in mentality. Since there have recently been new elections in Italy, we hope that the right-wing coalition will be more sensible about the current situation. We want to believe that this message will work in favor of Belarus and cooperation between our countries,” the minister said.
