MINSK, 17 April (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Guinea to Russia and concurrently to Belarus Niankoye Haba, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission.
The parties reviewed the current state of political, trade and economic cooperation between the two countries and discussed the formation of legal framework. "Ambassador Niankoye Haba remarked that Guinea is keen to develop cooperation with Belarus, primarily in agriculture. The Guinean diplomat emphasized that Belarusian expertise and practices in this area are of particular interest to his country, especially in terms of ensuring food security. Aleksandr Rogozhnik invited the Guinean delegation to participate in the international agricultural exhibition Belagro, which will take place in June," the press service noted.
Guinea’s ambassador also showed interest in the supply of Belarusian machinery, including mining equipment that can be used for mineral extraction. "Aleksandr Rogozhnik emphasized Belarus’ readiness to offer Guinea the full range of mechanical engineering products with their further maintenance and, if necessary, training specialists to operate this equipment," the diplomatic mission said.
"To advance the trade and economic agenda, the heads of the diplomatic missions of Belarus and Guinea in Russia agreed to consider the possibility of exchanging business delegations," the press service added.
