Belarus government adopts action plan for H1 2019

MINSK, 27 December (BelTA) – A plan to guide the work of the Council of Ministers and the Council of Ministers' Presidium in H1 2019 has been approved by government resolution No.933 of 22 December 2018, representatives of the Council of Ministers told BelTA.

Results of Belarus' social and economic development in 2018 and in January-March 2019 will be discussed at sessions of the Council of Ministers.

Modernization progress and the development of oil-refining and petrochemical industries, the implementation of government programs, efforts to eliminate unjustified mediation will be discussed at sessions of the Council of Ministers' Presidium. Apart from that, plans have been made to discuss matters concerning employment assistance, further improvement of effectiveness of the utilities industry, provision of state support to organizations, the utilization of unused and ineffectively used assets, counteraction of illegal trade in narcotics, and preparations for the spring sowing campaign. The fulfillment of the head of state's instructions to repair municipal roads will be discussed as well.

The discussion will also touch upon conceptual provisions of the forecast on Belarus' social and economic development in 2020 and for the period till 2022. Directions of the budget policy and the fiscal policy will be discussed as well as the medium-term financial program for 2020-2022.

The plan includes a total of 19 items, which will be discussed at sessions of the Council of Ministers and the Council of Ministers' Presidium.
