MINSK, 11 November (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the People’s Republic of China Aleksandr Chervyakov visited the city of Harbin in Heilongjiang Province, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Beijing.
The diplomat met with the leadership of the Department of Industry and Information Technology and leading agricultural machinery manufacturers in Heilongjiang Province. The Chinese companies expressed interest in industrial cooperation with Belarus, including joint production of high-horsepower tractors and high-performance harvesters with Gomselmash and MTZ.
The ambassador held talks with the leadership of the Heilongjiang Department of Commerce and the trade zones of Heihe, Suifenhe, and Dongning. The Chinese side expressed interest in expanding the range of Belarusian products supplied to China.
In addition, Ambassador Aleksandr Chervyakov met with Liang Huiling, Governor of the People’s Government of Heilongjiang Province. The parties exchanged views on a wide range of interregional cooperation issues and outlined paths for cooperation in trade, economy, investment, science, technology, and the humanitarian area.
