MINSK, 29 September (BelTA) - Belarusian companies are taking part in the 7th international exhibition Rebuild SYRIA, BelTA learned from Belinterexpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The exhibition is running in Damascus through 2 October. Belarus is represented at the expo by Minsk Dairy Plant No.1, Rechitsa Hardware Plant, Amkodor, Ivatsevichdrev and Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ trademark).
Minsk Dairy Plant No.1 offers Syrian consumers a wide range of products: milk, butter, cream, skimmed milk powder, whey, glazed curd bars, cottage cheese desserts, soft and hard cheeses. Special attention is on sugar-free glazed curd bars, the only such product in Belarus.
Rechitsa Hardware Plant is showcasing metallurgical fasteners: nails, staples, bolts, screws, nuts, self-tapping screws, rivets, axles and many more. MAZ machinery, including dump trucks, tractors, concrete mixers is also on display at the outdoor exhibition area. The machines are designed to perform a wide range of works and are suitable for operating conditions in Syria.
The business program envisages a number of events involving the Belarusian delegation: a seminar-consultation at the Belarusian embassy, meetings with the leadership of chambers of commerce in Homs, Aleppo, Damascus District, the Damascus Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce, and also negotiations with the head of one of the Syrian largest construction companies Hamsho Group.
The organizer of Belarus' participation of at the exhibition is Belinterexpo, an exhibition company of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Belarusian pavilion is presented with the support of the Belarusian embassy in Syria.
