Belarus attends meeting of CIS tax investigation services in Russia's Kazan

MINSK, 15 September (BelTA) – A delegation of the Financial Investigation Department is attending the meeting of the CIS coordinating council of tax investigation services, BelTA learned from the press service of the State Control Committee of Belarus.

Deputy Chairman of the State Control Committee, Director of the Financial Investigation Department Igor Marshalov is attending the 19th meeting of the CIS coordinating council of tax investigation services in Kazan, Russian Federation.

The events is attended by Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan. The tax (financial) investigation services of Uzbekistan, Latvia and Estonia have been invited to attend in the capacity of observers.

The meeting will examine the activities of the tax (financial) investigation authorities of the CIS Member States to ensure the economic security of their states. Budget replenishment and minimization of budget losses will be among the key issues on the agenda. In addition, the meeting participants will discuss training and retraining of specialists for the tax authorities (financial) investigations in the CIS.

The meeting will analyze the interagency cooperation in the detection of tax offences. Special attention will be given to the measures to prevent the financing of terrorism and extremism. The work plan of the council for 2017-2018 will be on the agenda too.
