Brest road construction company wins road maintenance tender in Ukraine's Zhytomir Oblast

BREST, 31 July (BelTA) – A road building company from Brest Oblast has won a road maintenance tender in Zhytomir Oblast, Ukraine, BelTA learned from director general of road construction company No. 4 Igor Shugayev.

The Brest company, a subsidiary of the management company of the Belavtodor Holding Company, operates an office in Ukraine. The company is expanding into foreign markets and thus submitting applications for participation in road maintenance tenders. “We have taken part in tenders in Ukraine's Volyn Oblast, Kiev Oblast, Zhytomir Oblast, and Zaporozhye Oblast. We have won a tender to repair a road in Zhytomir. We will go there on 1 August to seal the deal with the customer. The project is estimated at $1.1 million. It is expected to start in August,” Igor Shugayev noted.

Brest-based road construction company No. 4 can also help repair streets in Kiev, in particular, Naberezhnoye Highway. “Our offer has been considered and found the most attractive. There are some other matters that the customer wants to review. Once they are considered, he will take a decision and we will probably be working there, too. This project is of great interest and prestige for us,” the director general remarked.

In 2017, the company started to export its own products to Ukraine. It signed a contract to supply €800,000 worth of bitumen emulsions.
