Viktor Lukashenko sends birthday greetings to Darya Domracheva

MINSK, 3 August (BelTA) - Four-time Olympic champion Darya Domracheva turned 35 on 3 August, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian National Olympic Committee (NOC).

In his birthday greetings, President of the Belarusian NOC Viktor Lukashenko noted that most fans associate the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi with the name of Darya Domracheva. “Innate talent, skill and many years of hard work under the guidance of experienced coaches have helped you win coveted awards at various international competitions,” Viktor Lukashenko said.

“You have entered your name in the history of national and international sport, becoming the world's first and only four-time Olympic champion in biathlon, the most decorated athlete in the history of sovereign Belarus. Such a brilliant achievement, of course, serves as a shining example for the current generation of young biathletes,” the message of greetings reads.

He wished Darya good health, well-being, and new achievements.
