MINSK, 29 November (BelTA) - Anton Smolski of Belarus clinch bronze in the 10km Sprint at the start of the 2024/25 Russian Biathlon Cup in Khanty-Mansiysk, BelTA has learned.
The leader of the Belarusian team showed the best time with one penalty in the first group. Alexander Loginov from Tyumen Region moved the Belarusian to the second place a few minutes. Both of them were further moved representative of Novosibirsk Daniil Serokhvostov, for whom the victory became the third one in a row, taking into account the stages of the Commonwealth Biathlon Cup. Thus, Anton Smolski finished third, 36 seconds behind the winner.
The flower ceremony featured two more athletes from Belarus: Maksim Varabei shot clean to finish 5th, Ivan Tulatsin skied one penalty loop to place 6th. Dzmitry Lazouski rounded up Top Ten, Pavel Belko finished 18th, Ilya Auseyenka – 22nd, Mikita Labastau - 34th among 84 athletes.
