MINSK, 26 January (BelTA) – President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Belarus Viktor Lukashenko congratulated the national biathlon team on their victories and podium finishes at the Commonwealth Cup leg in Raubichi, BelTA has learned.
At the home stage, Belarusian biathletes won two gold medals, one silver, and one bronze. Anton Smolski won the sprint and placed third in the pursuit, while Hanna Sola took second place in the pursuit. The team of Anton Smolski, Hanna Sola, Dzinara Smolskaya, and Stsiapan Danilau was victorious in the mixed relay.
“Anton, you have once again proven that you rightfully wear the unofficial title of team captain. Through your skill, composure, perseverance, and your teammates’ support, you reached the top of the podium and strengthened your lead in the Commonwealth Cup overall. Respect, mutual assistance, and team spirit - these are what make you stronger, inspire victories, and genuinely amaze your fans. Dzmitry Lazouski’s selfless gesture of giving his skis to Anton before the pursuit race stands as a powerful demonstration of courage and steadfast camaraderie.
