
MINSK, 17 October (BelTA) - The 21st International Rhythmic Gymnastics Tournament for the Prizes of Olympic Champion Marina Lobatch is set to begin at the Palace of Rhythmic Gymnastics in Minsk, BelTA has learned.
The tournament will feature athletes from Belarus, Russia, and Moldova, who will compete in 20 medal events. The athletes will determine the winners in the all-around and individual exercises across four categories: children, pre-juniors, juniors, and seniors. A team tournament in Minsk will feature 20 quartets, each comprising one representative from every age group.
The team of Belarus will comprise national team leaders Alina Harnasko and Anastasiia Salos. Also competing will be medalists from major international events, including Alina Rechkina, Daryia Tkachova, Hanna Kandrashyna, Nika Kostsina, Nicole Liauta, Kira Babkevich, and Marharyta Zhurovich.
The Marina Lobatch Rhythmic Gymnastics Tournament will run through 19 October. Entry to the Palace of Rhythmic Gymnastics is free.
