Litvinovich tops qualification at 2025 FIG Trampoline Gymnastics World Championships

MINSK, 7 November (BelTA) - Six Belarusian athletes have advanced to the semifinals in the individual events at the 2025 FIG Trampoline Gymnastics World Championships, BelTA has learned.

Ninety athletes, including four Belarusians, took part in the men's qualification. The best result was posted by two-time Olympic champion and World Cup winner Ivan Litvinovich, who scored a season's best of 67.290 points. Twenty-four athletes advanced to the next stage, with Belarusians Stanislau Yaskievich and Andrei Builou placing 7th and 8th respectively. Belarus’ Sebastian Stankevich finished 9th but was eliminated from the semifinals due to the limit of three participants per country.

Seventy-four female athletes competed for a spot in the next round. Three Belarusians also made the top ten: Iana Lebedeva posted the second-highest score, Katsiaryna Yarshova was fifth, and Viyaleta Bardzilouskaya - ninth. Zlata Miniakhmetava finished 21st, thereby concluding her competition in the individual event. The men's and women's semifinals will be held on 8 November, with the individual event medals to be decided on Sunday.

The team event qualification took place on 6 November. The Belarusian men's quartet advanced to the final from first place, while the women's team placed second, behind Russia. The winners and medalists in the team events will be determined on Saturday. In total, the 2025 FIG Trampoline Gymnastics World Championships in Spain has gathered about 400 athletes from 40 countries.
