Khomutsianskaya, Egorova win Sharm ElSheikh 2025 in Egypt

MINSK, 7 December (BelTA) – Belarus’ Daria Khomutsianskaya and Daria Egorova of Russia have won the Sharm ElSheikh 2025 doubles title in Egypt, BelTA has learned.

In the final match, the Belarusian-Russian duo defeated the Russian pair of Yaroslava Bartashevich and Kristiana Sidorova in two sets, 6-4, 6-2. In the singles event, Daria Khomutsianskaya reached the quarterfinal, where she lost a three-set match to Poland’s Weronika Ewald, 6-1, 3-6, 4-6. On 6 December, the Polish player defeated another Belarusian, Aliona Falei, in the semifinal, 6-1, 6-1, and will face France’s Julie Belgraver in tomorrow’s final.

In the men’s singles semifinal, Belarus’ Erik Arutiunian lost to Egypt’s Fares Zakaria, 4-6, 1-6. In the final match, Fares Zakaria will face Ukraine’s Vadym Ursu.
