MINSK, 2 December (BelTA) - The Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) has named the best players of November in four categories, BelTA learned from the KHL press service.
For the first time in his career, Zachary Fucale, goaltender for HC Dinamo Minsk, has been recognized as the best goaltender. He secured five victories in seven games during the month, posting a goals-against average of 1.44. The Canadian faced 180 shots on goal, saving 170 of them for a save percentage of 94.44%. Fucale recorded shutouts in matches against HC Sibir (7-0) and HC Spartak (6-0).
Other award winners for November include defenseman Trevor Murphy of HC SKA, forward Vladimir Tkachev of HC Metallurg, and rookie Alexander Zharovsky of HC Salavat Yulaev. A total of 119 games were played last month, featuring 625 players. The average scoring rate was 5.51 goals per game.
