Dinamo Minsk lose 1-3 to Lokomotiv Yaroslavl

MINSK, 10 January (BelTA) – HC Dinamo Minsk lost 1-3 to the visiting Lokomotiv Yaroslavl at the KHL action on 9 January, BelTA has learned.

The two teams previously faced each other on 21 December 2017, with Lokomotiv celebrating a 3-2 victory.

The home team managed to get ahead early in the second. Quinton Howden opened the scoring in the 25th minute. However, the lead was short-lived and Staffan Kronwall's power play strike tied it up at the second intermission.

Alexander Kadeikin's effort early in the final frame made it 2-1. A last-minute goal by Max Talbot wrapped up the win.

Lokomotiv became the third team to officially confirm its playoff place this season, leaving Dinamo's playoff hopes looking slim. The Belarusians are currently 10th, nine points away from the eighth-placed Severstal. The Bisons have just seven games to play.
