MINSK, 3 October (BelTA) – Belarusian athletes claimed six gold medals in trampoline events at the 3rd CIS Games in Azerbaijan, BelTA has learned.
The final gold for the Belarusian team was secured by Katsiaryna Yarshova and Stanislau Yaskevich, who triumphed in the mixed synchronized trampoline event. The Belarusian pair scored 51.27 points, finishing 1.34 points ahead of their closest rivals from Azerbaijan, Seljan Mahsudova and Magsud Mahsudov. The representatives from Kazakhstan rounded out the top three.
Earlier on 3 October, Belarusian trampolinists won three other finals: the women's individual event (Yana Lebedeva), the women's synchronized event (Yana Lebedeva/Katsiaryna Yarshova), and the men's synchronized event (Ivan Litvinovich/Andrei Builou). The day before, Belarusian athletes had also celebrated victory in both the men's and women's team events.
The men's individual final was the only event where Belarus did not win gold, with two-time Olympic champion Ivan Litvinovich taking second place. The Belarusian team will now continue preparations for the main competition of the season - the 2025 FIG Trampoline Gymnastics World Championships, which is set to take place in Pamplona, Spain on 6-9 November.
