MINSK, 25 August (BelTA) – Volha Klimava of Belarus clinched gold in the Women C1 5,000m at the ongoing 2025 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Milan, BelTA has learned.
Volha Klimava secured gold in the C1 5,000m race on the final day of competition, completing the distance in 26 minutes and 20 seconds. She finished 15 seconds ahead of Canadian silver medalist Katie Vincent.
The victory has earned Volha Klimava her third world champion title in this event, adding to her previous wins in 2019 and 2021. She also holds three European titles in the Women C1 5,000m (2018, 2021, 2024).
