MINSK, 2 December (BelTA) – The Belarusian women U19 national football team will conclude their performance in the 2026 UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship qualification, BelTA has learned.
On 2 December in Florence, Italy, Sergey Rusetsky’s squad will go head-to-head with Northern Ireland in their final Group 6 qualifier. Hopes of progression were dashed for both teams after each suffered two losses. The Belarusians were first edged out by the Swiss 0-1 and then fell to the host Italians 0-2. Northern Ireland were crushed by Italy 1-10 before losing a close battle to Switzerland 1-2. Today, Italy and Switzerland will face off for the top spot in the group.
The final stage of the UEFA Women’s Under-19 European Championship will take place in Bosnia and Herzegovina on 27 June – 10 July 2026. Alongside the host nation, seven other top national teams that successfully pass through two qualifying rounds will compete for the title.
