MINSK, 2 June (BelTA) – Belarusian hammer throwers earned to Olympic slots at the Moldova Athletics Championships, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Athletics Federation.
Anastasia Kolomoyets set a new personal record of throwing hammer at 72.58m.
Yuri Vasilchanka needed just one attempt – 77.65m - to win the Olympic license. This is 15cm above the Olympic standard. The Belarusian made up 77.81m in his second attempt to secure silver at the tournament.
Serghei Marghiev of Moldova won the event with 78.21m. Ukraine's Sergei Perevoznikov took bronze (77.60m).
