Belarus’ Kachevsky claims bronze at Russian Shooting Cup

MINSK, 14 August (BelTA) – Aleksandr Kachevsky has secured the first medal for the Belarusian team at the open Russian Shooting Cup, which is currently underway in Ignatovo near Moscow, BelTA has learned.

The tournament's opening day featured competitions in the men's 50m small-bore rifle three positions and women's 10m air rifle standing events. Aleksandr Kachevsky delivered a strong performance in the men's final, earning 405.5 points to clinch third place. He was surpassed only by Olympic medalist Sergey Kamensky and Russian champion Andrey Golovkov.

On 14 August, athletes in Ignatovo will compete for medals the women's 50m small-bore rifle three positions and men's 10m air rifle standing events. The Russian Shooting Cup, featuring Belarusian athletes, will run through 20 August.
