MINSK, 16 March (BelTA) - Aliona Falei of Belarus has won her second consecutive ITF-35 category tournament in Monastir, Tunisia, BelTA has learned.
In the decisive match, the Belarusian defeated Hibah Shaikh of the USA in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2. On her way to the final, Aliona Falei overcame Poland’s Weronika Falkowska, Serbia’s Dunja Marić, Russia’s Vera Zvonareva, and Spain’s Eva Guerrero Álvarez.
In early March, the 21-year-old Minsk native also emerged victorious in the Monastir competition. She now has eight ITF tournament titles to her name.
