MINSK, 15 May (BelTA) – Tatsiana Sharakova and Yauheni Karaliok won gold medals at the 2021 Tissot UCI Track Cycling Nations Cup in Hong Kong, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus.
Tatsiana Sharakova topped the podium in the Women's Scratch Race ahead of Yumi Kajihara of Japan and Spain's Tania Calvo Barbero.
Yauheni Karaliok won the Men's Scratch Race. Second was Moritz Malcharek of Germany, with Japan's Kazushiqe Kuboki taking bronze.
The 2021 Tissot UCI Track Cycling Nations Cup will be over on 16 May.
Ahead of the Tokyo Games, Minsk is set to host the 2021 UEC Track Elite European Championship on 23-27 June.
