MINSK, 15 August (BelTA) - Belarusian athletes secured five medals on the first day of the international taekwondo tournament Kazakhstan Open G1 2025, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Sports and Tourism Ministry.
The national team collected one silver and four bronze medals. Artsiom Plonis claimed second place in the 87kg weight category, while Artsiom Babakhin (under 74kg), Raman Turavinau (under 80kg), Georgiy Gurtsiev (under 58kg) and Yulia Vitko (under 57kg) all earned bronze medals. The competition in Astana has drawn more than 750 athletes from 22 countries.
The Kazakhstan Open G1 2025 tournament will be over on 16 August.
