Belarus’ Babkevich, Zhurovich podium at Sky Grace Cup in China

MINSK, 13 November (BelTA) – Belarusian rhythmic gymnasts have secured 12 individual medals in the junior and pre-junior competitions at the international tournament Sky Grace Cup in Beijing, China, BelTA has learned.

Russian athletes Kseniia Savinova and Sofiia Ilteriakova claimed the top two spots in the junior all-around, scoring 114.7 and 112.8 points for gold and silver, respectively. Belarusian Kira Babkevich secured bronze with 106.4 points, also earning silver with the ball and bronze with the hoop. Another Belarusian, Margarita Zhurovich, stood on the podium three times, winning silver in clubs and rope and adding a bronze in ribbon.

Among athletes aged 13 and under, Kseniya Bandarenka posted the third-highest score in the all-around and placed second with hoop and rope. Belarus’ Ksenia Yevdokimova claimed victory in the ball routine, adding a silver medal in clubs to her achievement, while Vera Konopatskaya finished second in ribbon. The medalists on 13 November included representatives from Russia, China, Armenia, Bulgaria, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan.

The senior all-around title will be decided on 13 November, with our national team leader Alina Harnasko leading after day one. On 14 November, the Sky Grace Cup will feature individual event finals, and the gymnasts will also compete for medals in group exercises.
