"This is a historic event for our sports, as it is the first facility of
its kind in Belarus. Our national beach soccer team has earned such
conditions. The center was built in record time, and I am impressed by
its beauty and scale, said Sports Minister Sergei Kovalchuk. “I hope
that having such a facility will give new impetus to the development of
beach sports, and results on the world stage will become even more
significant. You might think, what could possibly top a Belarus vs
Brazil World Cup final? Only a few years ago, that was just a dream. I’m
confident we can sustain this high standard for many years.”
The
center will be used for year-round training and competitions in beach
soccer, beach volleyball, beach tennis, beach handball, frisbee
freestyle, and other disciplines.
