What was real reason for Gaddafi's murder?

MINSK, 26 December (BelTA) – The latest episode of the documentary series Time Chose Us aired by the Belarus 1 TV channel looked back at how NATO countries destroyed Libya and how Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko responded to the execution of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, BelTA has learned.
The winter of 2010-2011 became a turning point for the Arab world. The civil war in Libya was gaining momentum, but on 20 October 2011, rebels seized the city of Sirte where Muammar Gaddafi stayed.

Libya under Muammar Gaddafi was a unique state in many respects. For example, newlyweds were provided with new apartments. There were a lot of benefits for people from different walks of life. Salaries, allowances and pensions allowed people not just to survive, but to live a full life. There was no unemployment in the country, because all university graduates were provided with jobs. But the date of 20 October 2011 split Libya's life into before and after.

"How can we evaluate the NATO actions in Libya? As a violation of the mandate of the UN Security Council. I am not exaggerating but this Security Council is nonsensical and impotent. The UN has turned into some kind of a front. Look: Iraq, Afghanistan, all Arab countries. Where is the United Nations? Why did the UN fail to prevent it? It was NATO special forces who captured the leader of the country, tortured. They abused him, shot at him, raped him, twisted his head and arms and then killed him. They were worse than Nazis back in the day. God forbid this becomes the norm across the globe," Aleksandr Lukashenko said about NATO actions in Libya.

Libya was not the most developed country in the world, but its welfare policy was the envy for half of the world. Experts would say later that the West killed Gaddafi because he had established socialism. The processes launched after his death aimed to destroy such a state and create new controlled regimes.
