MINSK, 13 April (BelTA) – The Days of the Union State of Belarus and Russia at the 34th edition of the International Arts Festival Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk will feature a musical, a gala concert and a street festival dedicated to Cossack culture, Director General of the Vitebsk Culture Center and Director of the festival Gleb Lapitsky told BelTA.
"Last year, we launched a new project: Union State for Children. This year we will continue this initiative. We will present the Belarusian-Russian family musical Dreamers. We will organize both daytime and evening showings so that parents can attend it with their children after work. During the daytime, children from boarding schools and large families will attend the musical," Gleb Lapitsky said.
He stated that this modern musical is about a dream collector who seeks to gather a million cherished dreams. He is missing just four dreams, and the musical will show how he goes about capturing them. "This performance highlights ordinary stories such as teenage love and the lives of healthcare workers. The show includes elaborate sets and aerial gymnasts’ performances, and thanks to the support of the Union State, we can bring this project to life," he stressed.
The program of the Union State Days will also include concerts at the Vitebsk Oblast Philharmonic Society and a street event dedicated to Cossack culture in front of the Alexander Pushkin monument.
