MINSK, 12 October (BelTA) – The State Secretariat of the Security Council has launched the second stage of an inspection of military units and subunits of the Armed Forces that was initiated by the president of the Republic of Belarus, BelTA has learned.

In the first stage, tank and mechanized units advanced to the training grounds via a combined method and occupied their staging areas, confirming their readiness for intended missions.

The second stage involves a march to designated areas, which includes a pontoon bridge crossing of a water obstacle. Once in position, the units will perform live-fire drills with tanks, armored personnel carriers, and small arms.

Reviewing the first phase, the state secretary of the Security Council commended the military personnel for their confident execution of combat readiness drills. He noted their skilled performance in loading armored vehicles, conducting the march, and establishing defensive positions, emphasizing that these actions incorporated lessons learned from the special military operation in Ukraine.

“Given the significant importance of physical readiness in modern warfare, the inspection plan incorporates mandatory physical fitness tests for all personnel,” State Secretary of the Security Council Aleksandr Volfovich said.

He announced that upon the conclusion of the second phase, the inspection’s findings will be compiled and directly applied to enhance troop training programs.
