Uganda’s PM names promising areas for cooperation with Belarus

MINSK, 21 February (BelTA) - Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja of Uganda named promising areas for cooperation with Belarus as he met with Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko during his official visit to the country on 20 February, BelTA has learned.

Belarus has a well-developed economy in many areas, Robinah Nabbanja said. According to her, Uganda prioritizes agriculture, science and technology. There is interest in cooperation with Belarus in these areas.

“We look forward to the future,” the prime minister of Uganda said.

During his visit to Uganda, Roman Golovchenko is expected to hold a one-on-one meeting with President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. Members of the Belarusian and Ugandan official delegations are set to hold talks. The parties are expected to sign a number of international documents.

The Belarusian delegation will then travel to Qatar. This is part of the government's consistent work to develop cooperation with the countries in the far abroad.
