Tołwiński: With nuclear plant, Belarus gets ahead of Poland technologically

MINSK, 7 October (BelTA) - Having built a nuclear power plant, Belarus has outpaced Poland technologically, Polish politician, chairman of the Front party Krzysztof Tołwiński said on the air of the ONT TV channel on 6 October, BelTA has learned.

"Things have come to absurdity in our country [Poland]. Having built a nuclear power plant, Belarus has risen to a higher technological level than Poland. All previous Polish governments were involved in hybrid wars against Belarus. But they understood that the development of nuclear energy would allow Poland to reach the same high level. This is poor judgment on behalf of the Polish authorities," the politician is convinced.

According to Eurostat, Poland has the most expensive energy in Europe. "The economy is not competitive, Krzysztof Tołwiński said. Western capital, which at first came here because of low energy prices and low labor costs, is leaving Poland now. Companies are closing down; people are losing their jobs and leaving," he said.
