Some 550 trucks queuing up at Belarusian border to enter Latvia

MINSK, 26 December (BelTA) – The Lithuanian and Latvian border checkpoints cleared 34% of the normal number of trucks over the past day, BelTA learned from the Belarusian State Border Committee.

The busiest border crossing is the Latvian border checkpoint Paternieki (Grigorovshchina on the Belarusian side), where 550 trucks are queuing up to enter Latvia. In the last 24 hours, its personnel cleared 38% of trucks.

The least number of trucks entered the EU through the Lithuanian border checkpoint Medininkai (Kamenny Log). The checkpoint handled 21% of the normal number of trucks.

The Lithuanian border checkpoint Salcininkai (Benyakoni) accepted 43% of vehicles. A total of 350 trucks are waiting here to enter Lithuania.
