Shved: Paramount goal is to protect the country’s interests under sanctions

GRODNO, 29 December (BelTA) - Chairman of the Supreme Court of Belarus Andrei Shved introduced Eduard Korol as new head of the Grodno Oblast Economic Court to the court’s staff on 29 December, BelTA has learned.

As stated during the ceremony, Eduard Korol has long worked in the judicial system, taught at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, and possesses a strong theoretical foundation and scientific basis for his work. It was noted that over his years of service, Eduard Korol has proven himself a qualified legal professional, demonstrating deep legal knowledge and good organizational skills.
Andrei Shved emphasized that under the conditions of sanctions pressure on Belarus, the country’s economic courts are of great importance. “At the current moment, we place the protection of our state’s economic interests under the conditions of severe sanctions pressure on our country at the forefront. All courts will soon be oriented towards maximally protecting the interests of our state and, by all possible forms and methods, defending the national interests of the Republic of Belarus,” the Supreme Court chairman said.

“Efficiency in decision-making and maximum protection of the economic interests of our entities is what we also expect from the economic courts today,” said Andrei Shved.
Attending the event was Grodno Oblast Governor Yuri Karayev, Belarus’ Presidential Aide - Inspector for Grodno Oblast Konstantin Burak, heads of regional security agencies, and the staff of the Grodno Oblast Economic Court.Photos by Leonid Shcheglov
