MOSCOW, 30 October (BelTA) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is set to address the 2nd Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security on 31 October, spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said at a briefing in Moscow on 30 October, BelTA has learned.
"We have already announced the participation of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in the International Conference on Eurasian Security, which will be held in Minsk on 31 October - 1 November. He will take part in it tomorrow," Maria Zakharova said.
According to her, representatives of the political, expert and analytical communities from about 40 countries are expected to attend the conference. "The conference is set to have a frank and inclusive discussion on the prospects of Eurasian security in the context of continuing military and political contradictions between the key players and almost complete lack of communication between them," the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman added.
