Polish expert: Poland’s hostile policy towards Belarus is beyond comprehension

MINSK, 5 June (BelTA) - Poland's hostile policy towards Belarus cannot be explained logically because it is beyond comprehension, Polish political scientist and publicist Tomasz Gryguć said in a new episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
Speaking about the extent of hatred towards Belarus and Russia among the Polish leadership and some Poles, Tomasz Gryguć cited the following fact. In Ukraine a large number of Polish mercenaries are fighting on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In fact, there are several thousand of them. According to the political scientist, this indicates that Poles fighting on the side of the Ukrainian army do not remember their history.

“They are going there to die for the interests of the Bandera followers. This is beyond human comprehension. It shows the extent of brainwashing and hatred towards Russia and Belarus. Those Poles who hate Russia and Belarus because they consider them enemies forget that they themselves are becoming hostages to this hatred,” said Tomasz Gryguć.

In his opinion, Karol Nawrocki, who won the recent presidential election in Poland, will not change the situation in the country and will not try to improve relations with its neighbors. The same is true about Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

“In general, there was not a single pro-Polish candidate in this election. In addition, this campaign was extremely Russophobic. If anyone said anything normal or reasonable about Russia during the debates, they were immediately cursed. They were immediately doomed. Poles pointed fingers at them and called them Russian spies. This should not be the case,” the political scientist is convinced.

Poland's policy toward Belarus is no less absurd, Tomasz Gryguć added: “To pursue such a hostile policy toward one's own neighbor is beyond comprehension. I have said this many times. Poland, in fact, has declared war on Belarus — diplomatic and economic one.”
