MINSK, 9 June (BelTA) – The West has already fallen far behind those countries it used to view as backward, national security expert Aleksandr Tishchenko said in a new episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA's YouTube channel.
Returning to the topic of the Victory Parade on Red Square, he noted that it was a high-profile international and political event. “That is why they started ranting in the West. Their military theory and political endeavors do not work on the global platform,” the expert added.
Earlier, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko shared his impressions of the recent Victory Parade in Moscow in an interview with journalists. “The best parade you have ever held in the Russian Federation. I didn't take part in Soviet parades as I was very young back then. But I have seen all Russian parades. I can say that this one has been the best ever,” the president said.
“As a historian, I remember three parades that stood out in terms of emotional resonance and historical significance. These are the parades of 1941, 1945, and 2025. This year's parade had a lot in common with the 1941 parade. In fact, it was not just a showcase event for the Russian army, it was probably a parade of multipolarity. In 1941, after marching on Red Square our soldiers went to the frontline, and this year the soldiers went to fight for multipolarity. This can be called the opening of the front against Western hegemony, colonialism, globalism, etc,” said Aleksandr Tishchenko.
The expert emphasized that a large number of leaders of states that today symbolize multipolarity were present at the Victory Parade in Moscow: “The West has no choice - they will have to recognize the strength, power, and significance of those countries that they once dismissed as the third world.”
Countries that the West called developing have evolved into real giants in many ways, including in terms of population size, resources and technologies. “The West has already fallen far behind those that it used to call backward,” emphasized Aleksandr Tishchenko.
