MINSK, 5 June (BelTA) – The Kiev regime is going to extraordinary lengths trying to derail the Ukraine peace process and to escalate the conflict, Ukrainian MP Artem Dmitruk said in a new episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
A reminder, in the run-up to the second round of Russia-Ukraine peace talks in Istanbul, Kiev carried out terrorist attacks using FPV drones against airfields in Russia's Murmansk Oblast, Irkutsk Oblast, Ivanovo Oblast, Ryazan Oblast, and Amur Oblast. Artem Dmitruk believes that this attack was absolutely aligned with the Zelensky regime's strategy. In his opinion, Kiev's goal is to escalate the conflict at all stages.

“It would be good for them if the conflict spills out into a full-scale third world war. Then, of course, Zelensky and those who are behind him would be jubilant. Their recently acquired skills and experiences would be very relevant. And as soon as a bona fide peace process has got underway, Kiev has been doing everything to disrupt and derail it,” said Artem Dmitruk.

The MP noted that after Kiev's strikes on Russia's strategic airfields, many expected a response from Russian leader Vladimir Putin. Artem Dmitruk emphasized that it is difficult to unnerve the Russian president, to force his hand and to get him make rash decisions. “At this stage, Russia has the upper hand, it has a strategy, it has tasks. And they will be carried out,” he added.
