MINSK, 24 June (BelTA) – There is no army in the world that possesses unlimited weapons reserves, thus the presence or absence of allies, their level of commitment are a crucial determinant of the duration of a military conflict, Russian military observer of the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper, retired colonel Viktor Baranets said in a new episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
According to the expert, had Ukraine not been supported by its allies, the conflict could have ended in three days. “Only two out of 32 NATO members have stopped supplying weapons, and about 20 NATO allies continue to help Kiev sustain its war effort,” he stressed. The military observer added that although this is not always the most modern weapons, it is still a serious factor.
According to Viktor Baranets, Chinese military transport planes are currently heading to Iran, and he believes that “they are unlikely to be carrying watermelons and melons”, most likely, these are ammunition and equipment. Meanwhile, Russia is not a passive observer here either, although the expert preferred not to disclose the exact details of Russia's involvement.
