MINSK, 2 February (BelTA) - Training of members of territorial and precinct commissions will continue, Andrei Belyakov, Head of the Center for Public Relations and Electoral Process of the Academy of Public Administration under the Aegis of the President of Belarus, member of the Scientific and Expert Council at the Central Election Commission of Belarus said in the latest episode of BelTA’s project “The Nation Speaks”.
Since the second half of 2022, we have been training members of commissions at a professional level. More than 5,000 members of territorial and precinct commissions have taken advanced training courses at the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus, taking into account the regional development institutions, which implement the program “Theory and Practice of the Electoral Process in the Republic of Belarus”. Thanks to these educational technologies, the professional level of members of our commissions is improving today,” Andrei Belyakov said.
“It should be noted that these courses are run on the initiative of the CEC with the support of the Belarus President Administration. Today we can say with absolute certainty that this work must be continued. We should already be preparing for the 2029, 2030 and subsequent election campaigns. Here it is very important not to reduce the pace and level of training of commission members,” Andrei Belyakov said.
